US-Kosovo Education Switch Board Officialised

The US-Kosovo Education Exchange Board initiative (USKEB) represents a continuation of a meaningful and stable partnership that Kosovo and the United States have built over the years. So said Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci, at the meeting where it was formalised, where US Ambassador to Pristina Philip Costnett participated.
On the 10th anniversary of the Fulright Programme in Kosovo, Minister Nagavci stressed strong support for the programme and cited his invaluable contribution to Kosovo, along with many other US-funded programmes, to building capacities through the benefit of educational experiences, not only academics but also social and cultural.
Nagavci said one of the government's important priorities in education is to support research in science and innovation, so she stressed that USKEB will play a vital role in promoting knowledge, research and experience.
While, Costett said this is the first Fulright exchange board in the world and a testimony to Kosovo's investments in the Fulbright Programme to help future generations of Kosovo students use the technical expertise they gain abroad to improve Kosovo's economy once they return.
Otherwise, USKB was formed to advise and assist in setting resource priorities and setting priorities for educational exchange, including the Fulright programme for Kosovo, the communique said.
