Three people were killed and six others were injured Friday in a knife attack in the German town of Wwerzburg, Bild newspaper reported, adding that police had detained the suspected author with a walking shot.
According to foreign media, police said they had arrested a suspect after “a major operation”, in which parts of the city centre were closed.
“We have arrested a suspect”, the Low Francois Police in Titter said.
There are no indicators for a second suspect. There is no danger to the” population, the statement further stated.
Wuerzburg is a city of about 130 thousand people south east of Frankfurt.
