IPK gives details about the arrest of two policemen in Prizren

Months earlier IPK investigators had launched an investigation into co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor in Prizren on suspicion that two police officials were involved in illegal activities.

In this case, two citizens were involved as suspects of illegal activities.

As a result of a successful several-month investigation, IPK investigators today in the early hours of the morning have arrested four suspects, two of them police officials and two citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

The arrest of police officials has been made on suspicion that the same acts have been committed by the abuse of official position or authority” and “Bribe taking”, while citizens were arrested as suspects in criminal acts, “taskability” ,“Brigant Deny” and <x7M dropping”

Under this investigation, IPK officials assisted by Kosovo Police officials have implemented today in the early hours of the morning at a residential facility in Prizren, even a warrant for authorisation by the Constitutional Court in Prizren, where several documents and other related items have been confiscated concerning the investigation of this criminal case.

The four suspects arrested in this case by the Constitutional Prosecutor's decision in Prizren have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours while the IPK has also recommended suspension for police officials.
