Kurti and Macron are talking about the topic of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as Kosovo's perspective towards European integration.
Prior to the meeting, Kurti said a new political situation is developing, and he also mentioned the visit of US President Joe Biden to Brussels.
We believe that a new political situation is creating. A better - thought - out situation, with more articulated, more balanced, and higher - faith participation. And in such a situation, we will contribute with all our options even in the region, with good friendly relations both towards European perspective and integration”, Kurti has indicated.
While Macro invited Kosovo and Serbia to find a compromise to be led by the European future.
“I invite Kosovo and Serbia to engage as Europeans in finding a compromise that will make Belgrade and Pristina return towards a European future”, Macron said, during the joint conference with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, ahead of the Elysee Palace.
Also, Prime Minister Kurti is expected to ask President Macron for support for the visa liberalisation process.
The invitation for the meeting, President Macro had sent it to Prime Minister Kurti three months earlier, after he won the February 14th parliamentary elections.
This is Kurt's first visit to Paris after taking office as prime minister.
