“Will identify a suspect”, 32-year-old embraced her mother-in-law before being arrested for killing his wife

Babis Anagnostopoulos has admitted the murder of his 20-year-old wife, Caroline, on May 11th at their apartment in Greece. He was arrested today and admitted the serious crime after eight hours of interrogation by Greek investigators, who were told he killed the woman after their marriage went wrong and was afraid that Caroline would abandon him and leave with their 1-year-old daughter.

But how was 32-year-old trapped by Greek investigators? Police had announced the day before that they should appear at the Greek Police headquarters in Athens in connection with some new evidence. Greek media reports that authorities had told him he must go to identify a suspected author. But the 32-year-old pilot had asked for a day -- that is, to go this afternoon -- because he had to attend his late wife's memorial ceremony. The police agreed, but provided he didn't tell about what it was about and keep the secret about the ongoing investigations.

The media have managed to capture a photograph today on Alonisso Island where the 20-year-old girl grew up, just where the memorial ceremony, which seems 32-year-old, was embracing her mother-in-law, Caroline's mother-in-law. During his greeting with her, Babes said he should leave urgently towards Athens to identify a person suspected of killing the girl.

Greek police took the 32-year-old helicopter to move him towards the central offices in Athens. Until then he had understood nothing and was unaware of the evidence Greek investigators had toward him.

8 hours of interrogation has lasted until the killer man “broke” and was forced to accept the terrible crime. The investigators made the facts and evidence available.

An app on his phone that measured the steps showed that 32-year-old was walking at the time he pretended to be tied up by robbers and he was unconscious.

The security camera in the couple's house, believed to have filmed the entire scene, was without a memory card. The card was removed by around 1:20 a.m., while he claimed that <x0 malbiters” had entered the house 3 hours later. The last recording on the camera is at 12:30 a.m., where it looks 32-year-old with his 1-year-old daughter standing in the living room.

The intelligent clock Caroline held in her hand that night recorded her pulse, which showed vital signs at a time that did not match the evidence she was given. So 20-year-old was killed earlier than the author claimed for “migration”.
