Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is expected to be at this meeting. According to British Professor Aida Hehir, at this meeting Macron will ask Kurti for compromises to finally solve problems with Serbia.

“Even this meeting will follow an already known scenario: Macron will express support for Kosovo, until he exerts pressure on Government for a compromise. During the last decade, however, all these meetings have resulted in fruitless. There have been empty promises and superficial support for Kosovo. For worse, Kosovo has been treated with contempt. Serbia has become EU girlfriend”, said for RTV Dukagjin, Hehir.

According to researchers, Kosovo is viewed unjustly as a non- constructive side in the dialogue.

“Ironically, is Kosovo being treated as preventing a solution, despite the fact that Serbia is preventing any solution. Kurt seems committed to following a different approach from before the arrivals, less humble approach to the EU. This is welcome. After the meeting, Macro will realise he is facing a more serious Kosovo government and will not easily surrender”.

Days ago on an official visit to France has also been Interior Minister Jedal Svechla.
