Greece backs visa liberalisation, but will not recognise Kosovo

And in its response, Greek diplomacy has suggested that this state does not recognise Kosovo and its position remains unchanged. And at the same time, they have stressed that the Hellenic state has constructive approaches to Pristina, citing close co-operation with the Business Office and economic issues Kosovo has opened in 2019 in Athens.
While adding that the Hellen state has pursued a constructive approach to Pristina,
“As you know very well, Greece does not recognise Kosovo and its position remains unchanged. At the same time, it is known that Greece has been pursuing a constructive approach to Pristina since 2019, where there is also a “Offices of Trade and Economic Affairs in Athens” and works with Kosovo to advance co-operation in various areas. In this direction, aiming to further advance our bilateral co-operation and facilitate the office's functioning, without including the status-related aspects, this office has been renamed as the “Office of the Kosovo Interests in Athens”, the Greek MPJ)'s response to the Metro Journal said.
The Greek MPJ has told Metro newspaper that Greece's Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias will visit Kosovo in early June.
Also, the Hellenic state has reaffirmed that it supports Kosovo over visa liberalisation and on its path to the European Union.
