The commanders have recently stopped soldiers from drinking after concerns of violence in Afghanistan following the decision of withdrawal.
Local forces could not sell alcohol because of religious and cultural differences in Afghanistan, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
The interior ministry's spokeswoman said they had found a civil contractor to return the drinks.
In April, US President Joe Biden announced that all American forces would leave Afghanistan by September 11th 2021. NATO allies also announced they would follow the move.
There has been a steady increase in violence in this country since. The government, the US and NATO have blamed the Taliban for this.
Der Spiegel had reported last Friday that German troops had a huge surplus of alcohol in their bases. German soldiers are thus allowed two bottles of beer a day. /Periscope
