Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has appointed Court of Appeals Judge Kreshnik Radoniqi as the new chairman of the Central Election Commission, following the dismissal of Valdete Daka.
According to the presidency's announcement, Valdete Daka in many cases has failed to be an independent force against political polarisation.
Its decision has been rejected by civil society organisations, calling it politically motivated.
