The EU repeats Kurt: No new start of dialogue, but just follow-up

The European Union (BE) expects that at tomorrow's meeting in Brussels between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will have continued negotiations on previous topics and dialogue agreements, and not any new beginnings of dialogue, as Prime Minister Kurti had said, EU officials Brussels confirmed. spokesman in [...]
The spokesman at the European Commission, Peter Stano, specified for the Beta agency, is expected to consider a further <x0 way in dialogue, meaning continuing this process, which began in 2011”.
“This is not an old dialogue, but a continuing dialogue, mediated by the European Union and, in which,” underlined EU High Representative Josep Borrell's spokesman, adding that the <x2 partners are heading towards a European future”.
“in that process, there was a change of partner,” Stano noted, stressing that Kurti took over as Kosovo Prime Minister “but what was promised, that process remains the same”.
Borrell's spokesman underlined that the “all issues discussed so far in the dialogue, except for the EU's good will services, are and will also be at future meetings of the dialogue essential for a comprehensive agreement on normalisation of relations that will follow at the end of the” dialogue.
Stano stressed that they expect both sides to remain committed to dialogue and to implement the agreements reached so far and show the will and readiness needed for compromise to finally reach an agreement on normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
It should be noted that Kurti, on the other hand, has repeatedly said that in Brussels “is not the ongoing meeting of dialogue, but it is the first meeting I am expected to have with the president of Serbia, with whom I have never met in my life”, except on the table and conference.
So this is the first meeting, and we'll see what the next chapter of dialogue can be. It's a meeting for future dialogue, but it's not a continuation of the previous” dialogue, Kurti said.
Tomorrow, EU officials Borrell and Miroslav Lajcak will first negotiate separately with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and then with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, in order to determine which proposals the two sides reached Brussels before the joint meeting.
EU sources in Brussels confirmed that Borrell would make a statement before the round of dialogue, while the final declaration on the outcome of the meeting would be given by special EU representative Miroslav Lajcak.
Participants at the meeting are not expected to hold joint press conferences, but it is expected that Kurti and Vucic will address the press separately after the round of dialogue.
