US and EU: We're together to work on Kosovo agreement

The European Union and the United States of America will strengthen co-operation about dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

At the Brussels Summit, the US and the EU agreed to intensify their co-operation over a host of global issues, Periscopi writes.

In that spirit, among the issues discussed about the Western Balkans, the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is in particular mentioned.

In a joint statement concerning the main points intended to be realised after the summit, there is the Transatlantic Partnership and an agenda between the two powers for the post-indecision period.

The European Union and the United States of America have agreed to fight together pandemics to climate change, from relations with Russia, China, Iran to issues in the Western Balkans.

“We pledge to strengthen co-operation even around the Western Balkans, for dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade that would normalise relations between them with the European Union's mediation and with our support for their key reforms on their European integration path”, the joint statement issued by the European Union and the United States of America said.

The statement further talks about co-operation between the EU and the US, to co-ordinate their policy against Russia.

Both sides have pledged that they are willing to respond to Russia's negative behaviour and its harmful activities that are constantly repeating to”. /Periscopi/
