The Agency for Protection of the Environment of Kosovo (AMKK) has made it known that the quality of the air in our country is burdened by hot air measures from North Africa.
Over the past two days, a particularly heavy air quality situation for PM2.5 dust particles and PM10 has been noted in several meter stations managed by Kosovo's Hydrometeorological Institute, while the heavy condition is registered at stations in Pristina IHMK and Renaissance.
AMMK explains the dust coming from Africa, which includes the desert of Sahara, has influenced the value of dust particles.
In contrast, carrying dust and small grains of sand from the Sahara is a phenomenon that often includes Europe and manifests itself with the presence of particles of dust in the air.
