The “was not the battle of Serbs; it was the army of the Balkans that fought against the Ottoman invaders. This battle became the fundamental myth that continues to fuel Serbian nationalism since the 19th century, holding us all hostage”, Citaku wrote.

Following statements by the former Kosovo ambassador, Serbia's ambassador to Washington, Marko Djuric, has reacted.

Djurd has told Chitak that this reaction has shown the world that what you really stand for is intolerance and ethnic hatred.

“Forging history will not help your cause, it can only poison future generations with hatred”, Djuric wrote.
