New details emerge from 20-year-old journal killed by husband in Greece

The shocking information comes from the journal of the young woman showing that she wanted to separate from her husband and leave with her little daughter.

33 - year - old Babis Anagnostopoulos admitted that he killed his wife Caroline and then devised a robbery because she had threatened to want a divorce.

After drowning him in a pillow, Babes says that he panicked when he saw him dead, and for this reason, he had thought that he would invent the made - up robbery.

During the police interrogation, Babis shows that the 20-year-old was very aggressive and that he threw the baby into bed and then hit the night of the murder, which had led him out of control.

But Caroline's diary, already in the hands of the police, paints a picture of an unhappy and violent marriage where she had repeatedly wanted to leave her husband.

Among the lines are repeated violent fights among the couple, where she sometimes emphasizes that she has been hit. The girl had intended to break up with the helicopter pilot since 2019, for she was not feeling well about the relationship.

For the first time, she told Babi that she wanted to leave in July 2020 with the girl who was then 1 month old and that she had started looking for a separate house.

In November 2019, while Caroline was still pregnant with the girl who was born in June writes in journal lines: I ran into Daddy again. This time it was serious. I hit him and cursed him while he broke the door. I think I'll leave it. I want to go to my sister's. I don't know if I can go any further with Dad. I love him so much that I can't leave him even though this relationship is hurting me.

She relates that she had thought about leaving before she was pregnant and that she had found a house in Athens, but then she had reverted because she did not want the young woman to grow up without both parents.

For weeks the effective police wanted an imaginary gang of Albanians who had entered, according to Anagnostopoulos, in their residence in Greece, to be robbed.

But after examining both of them, the police concluded that 33-year-old was lying to them. An app for measuring the steps, installed on his cell phone, indicated that in the minutes when Babis pretended to be connected by the robbers and his eyes were closed, he was actually moving up and down through the apartment.

Caroline's biometric watch also indicated that her heart had stopped beating several hours before her husband claimed a robbery. Moreover, he had also tried to erase some of the footage captured by the security camera installed in the apartment.
