At least seven parachutists died and more than ten were injured after a small L-410 model plane crashed in a forest in Russia's Kemerovo region, southwest of Siberia, Russian media reported on Saturday.
News agency, T The ASS, citing a source of emergency services, said 17 people were left injured in the accident that occurred near the airport “Tanay” and that the crew had sent signs of difficulty about a problem on the engine.
A spokesperson for the Russian civil aviation agency Rosaviatsia told Reuters that a search-saving operation has been launched for this case, but refused to provide details.
