In the vicinity of the bus station in Drenas, the electric trafo has taken a very different view. This rose was once full of inscriptions, but from now on it will be a reference point.
This is after this trafostation has already become a modern artistic object from the graphic art of local artists. Just like this trafos, some of them are turning into artistic objects in the different neighborhoods of Drenas.
All of this is being made possible thanks to KED co-operation with the Drenas municipality, under the Art nö Trafo project. The goal of this co-operation is for KED training to turn into urban objects, energizing neighborhoods where they are anchored and at the same time enabling promotion of young art and artists.
That these projects are having a positive impact in the community, says the Director of the Directorate for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection in the Drinas municipality, Flutra Avdiu.
With this co-operation with KED, we're making the transformation of the traphos into urban artistic works. So, we're coloring the city of Drenas. Of course, all of this reflects positive for everyone who goes through. We intend to continue this co-operation further so that our artists can give them the space needed to display their artistic works in the community”, Avdiu said.
Meanwhile, ECDS Communications Director Najeje Pajaziti Arifaj says KEDS is committed to providing electricity services, to being in service of the community, through activities within the company's Social Responsibilities.
“The ECDS that started the operation has been committed to providing electricity services to support the community through various activities within the company's social responsibility. Among them is the Art n'Trafo project, which we have launched in Pristina, we are continuing in Drenas and aiming to realise throughout Kosovo.
We're converting trauma into modern, urban and artistic objects. Our artists are already promoting neighborhoods.”, Pajaziti Arifaj stressed.
This is not the first initiative for painting traumas by KEDS. Such projects have been developed several months ago in Pristina, where dozens of trafos have received artistic images.
The Art n'Trafo project is the initiative of KED, where through co-operation with the municipalities, the transformation of traumas into urban objects is targeted. KEDS, being part of these projects, expresses determination and willingness to play a major role in the Corporation's social responsibility activities, which directly influence the quality of community life.
