Court Decisions for Five Special Unit Officials Suspected in Violence in Prizren

Without these evidence, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate ) the Department of Investigations had filed criminal charges against the defendants.
While, on Saturday the Kosovo Police Inspectorate(IPK), indicated that it had accepted a complaint over a citizen's claims of overstepping police authorisation during the use of force by several police officials in an incident that occurred in July last year in Prizren.
IPK investigators after the case's admission have been engaged by taking investigative action regarding this case in co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor in Prizren, which has included receiving statements from eyewitnesses, as well as securing some audio recordings last days.
After the investigative actions, in consultation with Prizren's prosecutor, IPK investigators have arrested today five police officials who were involved as suspects in the incident (one sergeant and four police officials all employees in the Special Operations Unit)”.
