EU Special Representative Lajcak met with Kosovo leaders to make preparations for the first Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue summit, which is scheduled to be held at the end of this month.
That was the focus of his consultations with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue Bislimi, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Gervalla.
My “vision in Kosovo was a productive visit with the main aim of ensuring the best preparation of the leaders' meeting in Brussels later during June”, Lajcak said.
In Kosovo, Ambassador Lajcak joined Matthew A. Palmer, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, responsible for the Western Balkans and the Aegean and Special Representative for the Western Balkans.
“I'm here today with my good friend Matt Palmer, which is a sign of our close transatlantic co-operation”, the EU Special Representative concluded.
Lajcak also met with representatives of the international community and leaders of EU member states in Kosovo.
