These hot days, where temperatures in Prizren are going up over 30 degrees Celsius, Prisrenians are looking for refreshment in places where there is a little bit more green.
The municipal government headed by Mayor Mytaher Haskuka, except that in four years it has not added a square metre of greened surfaces, but has allowed extreme degradation of the current surfaces and their contraction with concrete everywhere. As long as there's been a walk through the Ortac district, you'll see the concrete machine that this power's put into action without mercy in public spaces.
On the other hand, the city's only park, crowded these days, looks like worse. Garbage everywhere, timbers that break down branches and fall on them at the risk of citizens' lives, out of function toilets, lighting working partly in and out of the park, the river filled with garbage swimming on it, and chaos and irregularities all around parking cars on the green spaces of the park.
It is a pity that with the neglect and inadequacy of current power, Prizren was transformed from a city considered among the most purified in the country, to the most polluted city!
How it is possible to be so incapable of offering a decent service to citizens who, among other things, are known as the most regular taxpayers in the country.
Prizren and the Presidents do not deserve such treatment, so the quick time will be when they themselves will punish with their vote this administration that has completely failed to fulfill its obligations and responsibilities towards citizens.
