Opinionist Bekim Colak has said that the executive order of American President Joe Biden that emerged yesterday, through which the entry to specific persons contributing to the destabilising situation in the Western Balkans will help combat corruption in these countries.
“We are talking about an executive order, rather than a conflicted list that contains the names of people who were denied access to the US and were seized with property, while the executive order issued by current President Joe Biden is a continuation of executive orders that are in force from 2001. The innovation of this executive order lies in the fact that the range of those who can be considered corrupt, which undermine democracy or deeds that violate basic human rights throughout the Western Balkans by violating regional security and the integrity of Western Balkan states is considered a threat to US security”.
“In the context of this, we need to see it as a very important act that will help much more in fighting negative phenomena in all Western Balkan states, with particular emphasis on fighting corruption, but will in all help strengthen peace and stability in the Western Balkans”.
He, in Rubikon in Klan Kosova, said that this executive order is only reconfirming US foreign policy against the Western Balkans.
“The US has invested mostly in the stability and peace of the Western Balkans and are now determined that this success achieved to this stage will be preserved at any cost, and that all who dare to violate it will face sanctions specified at this executive order”.
