China vaccinates 1 billion against COVID-19

More than 600 million citizens of China have received at least one of the doses against coronary, while the country has now reached the threshold of 1 billion vaccines, such as no country in the world. The plan is for 40 percent of the 1.4 billion inhabitants to be completely vaccinated before July, and 70 percent within the year. [...]

China has reached a record of vaccines against Ovidius-19, conducting over 1 billion doses and ranking before any other state.

The record was registered on Sunday, less than a month after the country administered 500 million doses.

The national vaccine programme is going intensively, authorities say, with 10-20 million vaccines conducted on a daily basis.

China launched the communication campaign last December, and during that time it used two main vaccines: pharmaceutical company products “Sinoparm” which is partially state-owned, and firm “Sinovac”

Both vaccines were licensed by WHO as well, but in their current efficiency tests it was below the average alternative, such as “Pfixer/ B NTech” or “

A billion doses performed in China make up about 40 percent of total vaccinated worldwide, although Beijing has not yet indicated when it can reach its so - called 19th division.

Even at the weekend, the country reported more than 20 contracting cases, which in China has killed over 4,500 people from January 2020.
