CEC plans to borrow cameras from Albania for count centres in local elections

CEC Secretariat chief executive Burim Ahmetaj has said today that they are preparing for holding local elections on 17 October this year.
Ahmetaj said the secretariat has prepared specifics for voting materials as well as some additional measures.
For local elections to be held on October 17, 2021, the secretariat has also prepared specifics for voting materials. All these specifics will be forwarded to the Council for Election Operations. In addition, the secretariat has prepared the plan for the staff to be included in this election”, he said.
Among other things, the head of the secretariat said they would also place additional security measures at the polls.
He said they would borrow cameras from Albania as well for the process.
“Since the QNR is monitored 24 hours, we'll put in additional security cameras where the camera recording of the counting process will take place on the tables. Cameras are planned, which the camera has used Albania and we think we can borrow. While the registration material part will be covered by Secretariat”, he indicated.
He stressed that the CEC will also respond to staff in the local election process.
The other additional measures for the election process are prepped by staff recruiting procedures, to offer evidence that are not incriminate in criminal acts, and do not have any close family ties with any of the candidates, etc.”, Ahmetaj said.
