An Indogenous Tribe organization called “Indigenous First Nations” said on Wednesday that the number of unsigned graves would be the most distinguished ever in Canada, writes The Guardian.
Last month, the remains of 215 children, some aged 3, were found buried in the courtyard of a former school in the British Columbia region.

From the 20th century to the seventh years of last year, over 150,000 children of Canada's Indolgenous tribes were required to attend teaching in government-funded Christian schools as part of the program to assimilate them culturally and integrate into Canadian society.
They were forced to convert to Christianity and were not allowed to speak their native languages. Many of them have been beaten up and abused blindly. Some 6,000 are believed to have died during their stay in these schools.
The Canadian government in 2008 apologized at the assembly and acknowledged that sexual and physical abuses at these schools were widespread. Many former students remember being beaten for speaking their native language. They also had no contact with parents, nor with their traditions.
