Catholic priests are on the way to clash with US President Joe Biden after voting a document that may call for him to be barred from being part of the Holy Community.

The US Catholic Priests' Conference had online clashes if it should draft a document about politicians supporting abortion, the BBC writes.

After Thursday's debate, Allen Vigneron from this conference would lead to “armimation” of the Holy Community.

However, Naam Care, a priest in Baker, Oregon, said that the Church is in an unprecedented situation because a Catholic president is going against church teachings.

Although the document will be a form of national policy, it will not be binding. Each priest will have the right to decide who should be prevented from attending Mass.

The controversial question of whether politicians who support the abortion should be allowed in the mass has become current after the election of the president.

Otherwise, Joe Biden is the second Catholic president of the United States, after John Kennedy.
