US President Joe Biden signed a law Thursday marking the announcement of a new national holiday, the day he commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
This day will be commemorated every year on June 19th.
In 1865, Union soldiers informed a group of African-American slaves in Galveston, Texas, that they were already at large, about two and a half years after the signing by President Abraham Lincoln of the Declaration on Slave Release.
Currently, many American countries have declared the holiday the day they are known as YouTube.
This day joins another 10 federal holidays and is the first to increase since the day that commemorates the birth of US civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. became a federal holiday in 1983.
The law for announcing this date as a holiday arrives at President Biden's table after adopting his bloc in Senate on Tuesday and a vote in an overwhelming majority ahead of him Wednesday in the House of Representatives, resulting in 415 votes for and 14 against.
