22 years from my return, along with Mija Rifat, Mrat and Luliment in Free Kosovo, in Skenderaj and in Prekaz, to the country that was already different.
It was my first meeting with Sister Bessanta after the horror she had experienced in the battle of 5,6 and March 7, 1998, seeing all family members fall one by one for our freedom.
Returning to Free Kosovo, we did it through the port of Durres, there we were hosted by native Sokol Poga. The road to Kosovo was as long and painful as our centuries-old pains and sufferings until our dream of freedom of independence.
The long road followed by memories of our glorious past, from the suffering and sacrifice of generations to the liberation of our country.
In Prizren a grand welcome followed by legendary Commander Adem Jashar of KLA soldiers who had come out to escort us from the border to Skenderaj. Their meeting was a special moment that filled us with strength and pride.
From Prizren, under the company of Freedom Fighters, we continued until Skenderaj, at a meeting with the former leader and soldiers of the KLA, for whom the bribe had a clear order “if you want to cool our hearts and heal our wounds, you have to be more united today than ever, even by working even more so far than it has to be”, that's what's worth today.
So together we continued to Prekaz, the site of the sacrifice and self - sacrifice for Freedom.
Everything was overturned here except towers that were proud of the war and the heroism that developed in them.
The field where we once played with the neighborhood youths was filled with tombs that symbolize our freedom.
Close to us, besides soldiers and citizens, were Baca Tush, the father of Commander Fehmi Lalrovci and baca Halil, the father of Commander Muje Krasniqi, who gave strength and courage to Rifat and us to continue life without our loved ones, who gave it to Kosovo Freedom.
So we met the rest of the family who had survived the crimes of the Serbian aggressor in Kosovo, who had remained in serious emotional condition of our family.
It was a heavy time for each of us, but great support from all Albanians inside and outside Kosovo made us strong, and together we began our new life in the family of many children who, besides the name, are inheriting even the patriotic spirit in the service of our homeland.
Our common work and commitment to continue the course of our ancestors should never be stopped, and their war and heroism should be motivated by the good things we should do for our country and our nation.
