Beden's threat to Western Balkan politicians: What is the Executive Order?

US President Joe Biden has received an executive order during yesterday that warns all Western Balkan politicians in the event they try to destabilise the region by disrespecting the binding international agreements or if they are involved in corrupt actions. But what is the executive order? Communication from the White House has caught it in [...]
Communication from the White House has surprised the political class in Kosovo despite several days earlier that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had announced the statement “persona non grata” of the former president and former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
But what are executive orders from the U.S. presidents?
The executive power for the president in America does not come simply through means like veto or appointments. In fact, the Constitutions offer them full authority to enforce the law through the executive branch, even whatever means may be available.
One of these tools is through executive orders, which are written presidential directives for American agencies on how to enforce the law, Periscope reports.
The executive orders, like other unilateral actions, allow the presidents to make politics outside the legal process.
In this form, these orders are uniform actions that allow presidents great advantages, especially in making politics without other decision-making bodies.
How have these commands been used throughout history?
Every American president has issued executive orders since they were systematically cataloged in 1905.
In March 2016, the former presidential candidate [who became president] Donald Trump had criticised the way Barack Obama had used executive orders while in office.
In fact, Trump had declared that “nobody had heard of executive orders” earlier, even though that was not true.
Usually, presidents have used these orders to advance the most important issues of their agenda, creating task force, political initiatives or directing decision-making.
But, in fact, the executive order from the president is not as unilateral as it may seem. Its design includes a process that takes a long time with many agencies negotiating content.
Moreover, if they do not have the proper legal authority, executive orders could be returned from the courts. /Periscope
