Bajrami: Economic recovery is taking place because of our measures

Democratic League of Kosovo MP (LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has said economic recovery in the country is taking place much faster than predictions, due to measures the former government has taken.

The former finance minister, during the plenary session, where the economy is being discussed during the Covid-19 pandemic, said the increase in export of local companies occurred precisely because of the financial assistance of the former government cabinet Hoti.

“It's exactly who you judged with us, you called oligarchs and corrupt government-related businesses that we helped. At first we helped you by never closing up. Yes, we paid, but it costs us dearly politically and by vote. But we were the ones who knew Kosovo's budget deficits very well and we did everything without total closure. The recovery in Kosovo is happening much faster than the World Bank has predicted, the International Monetary Fund, and how much we have predicted. It's precisely because of these measures that we've taken and above all, not because of the great help, but that we haven't closed any business”, she said.
