“At the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee meeting (AFET), in my speech I stressed the state position that the framework of the agreement with the Republic of Bulgaria provides relevant grounds for further co-operation and that we are prepared to overcome the situation in accordance with international standards. Any prolonging of the start of negotiations with the EU will reflect on the socioeconomic situation in the state, but will also have a strong impact on the region”, Xhaferi wrote in “Facebook”, TV21 broadcast.
We remember that recently because of the Bulgarian veto, the opening of membership negotiations between the EU and Northern Macedonia and Albania was impossible.
