The Assembly meets to download: Ilir Meta invites a few dancers from Debar to decorate

The Albanian Assembly has already started hearings for the president's dismissal, Ilir Meta, reports Kosova Preress.

But the latter does not seem to worry about that, since he is continuing his previously planned agenda.

In a media report, the presidency of Albania has announced that Meta today will expect a cultural event expected to take place at a meeting of the Folklore Ansemlin of Dibra Spasis Ndauuı.

“During this event, President Meta will also honour with titles some of the prominent personalities of this Ansamble, as well as hold a word of case”, said further in announcing the presidency.

We remember that an investigative commission has concluded that Meta has violated 16 provisions of the Constitution before the April 25th general elections, and that it must be fired a year before the mandate ends.

This commission has been established by 49 Socialist Party lawmakers in Albania, according to which Meta has appealed by the opposition during the time of the elections and has failed to meet his constitutional duty to ensure national unity.

The Socialist Party has won the 25 April elections, providing 74 of the 140 seats in Parliament.

Meta's dismissal takes two-thirds of the votes, and the Socialists don't have the numbers to achieve that threshold. But if they can pass the proposal today, then final approval should be given by Albania's Constitutional Court within a period of three months.
