The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has in principle adopted the draft law on changing and completing the Law on Automediaes.
70 MPs have voted for, none against, and no abstention.
At today's Assembly session, MPs have also voted in pro-proposal for the appointment of two parliamentary commissions.
The Bill Change Initiative has supported all opposition parties -- LDK, PDK and AAK.
Besian Mustafa LDK deputy said this party, even last year, supports the initiative to change this bill.
This regulates a very important area for safety in traffic and, above all, lowers financial cost and administrative burden on our citizens. So we demand that it be part of a more fundamental reform in this area and we ask that the removal of the monopoly of the technical control centres and the import excise” be included, Mustafa said.
In contrast, Mergim Lushtaku from the PDK said that changing this bill as a whole and not just at some points.

Even from the AAK parliamentary group, Besnik Tahiri said they support the initiative.
“The AAK supports the change of this law in principle and will make our contribution”, Tahiri said.
