Analysts say Association is putting Prime Minister Kurti in trouble

Kostett said on Wednesday that the UN “states believe Kosovo has the obligation to form the Association of Serb majority municipalities”.
Prime Minister Kurti commented on Ambassador Costnet's statements, said Kosovo cannot have association on ethnic grounds.
Analyst Imer Mushkolaj has said opposition parties have no right to oppose forming the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
“The LDK and PDK should beg Albin Kurti to implement the association after they themselves signed it”, Mushkolaj said.
He says it would be wrong if this topic opened up again in Brussels.
We've got a due. Mr. Kurti didn't know dialogue would be a priority, including the Association. He's got a hot potato” left in his hand, Mushkolaj added.
Gevdet Pozhari says Albin Kurti should not support the formation of the Serb majority municipalities' association.
He must remain loyal to the principles he has promoted so far. Let's not forget that association was a source of contention even over the fall of Kurti 1 government, and citizens have taken into account the attitudes for association”, Pozhar said.
Former President Visar Ymer says the 2013 Association version cannot be contested because it is voted internationally.
When international agreements are voted they don't even ask the constitution. But Serbia has not implemented some of it, so we have the right to cancel it... but the question is whether we are willing to get into dialogue to compromise in order to get recognition from Serbia”.
Ymer, however, says Kosovo should ask the mediator to know what this compromise is to come to know from Serbia.
“If compromise is something big that prevents the functioning of the state of Kosovo, then Kosovo has no interest in continuing with dialogue”, Ymer added.
Dardan Gashi says internationals are no longer willing to continue supporting Kosovo unless we are willing to resolve the problem with Serbia.
“Realities cannot be rejected. Even the Vienna Agreement did not accept Serbia, but it resulted in Kosovo independence”.
Gashi says Kosovo is completely dependent on the international community.
Arton Demhasaj says Kosovo does not necessarily need recognition from Serbia, but according to him dialogue is needed for membership in NATO and the European Union.
“Dialogue is necessary to recognize the five EU nations. We are still not recognized by NATO and the European Union”, Demhaja added.
