Analyst Salihu: Kurt won't go into history as a traitor, won't make Zajednica

Political analyst Fitim Salihu has commented on the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett's statement, who has said that Kosovo has the obligation to form the Association of Serb majority municipalities and history has not started on the day that Albin Kurt's government was formed. Analyst, Fitim Salihu for Periscope [...]
Analyst Fitim Salihu for Periscope has said that the Kosnet statement has been received and is not surprising because, according to him, even though not directly, the US has been presented as a side of the talks between Kosovo and Serbia.
This statement is expected and there is nothing surprising. The US has consistently tried to present itself as a side supporting the dialogue process, even when it is not directly sitting at the negotiating table. So it wasn't the innovation of Ambassador Costnet's statement.”.
Furthermore, Salihu has said he believes that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will oppose forming association and that in this respect Kurti should be supported by all sides.
However, I am confident that Prime Minister Kurti will remain Stoic in his principle of non-invention of Zajednica. He himself has called this act of betrayal and I trust that he will not fall into the trap of being trapped in history as a traitor. I believe Kurt will not implement Zajednica and manage to convince our American partners that that idea is harmful. Zajednica would mean Kosovo's Bosnia and Herzegovina and I believe that all sides should support Prime Minister Kurti in rejecting this harmful idea. ”, he said.
While, during the day, Prime Minister Kurti has rejected Costnet's statement, saying that association cannot be made.
He has once again repeated that Kosovo cannot have association on ethnic grounds. Moreover, it has stressed that this has been well defined in the Constitutional Court's 2015 constitution.
I don't think it's possible in Kosovo's legal and constitutional order to have association on ethnic grounds. There could be an association of municipalities on development basis, on geographical grounds. Suppose association of the Rugova Mountains, the Sharr Mountains, or the Lepenc River. But ethnic-based association cannot pass either the spirit or the letter of the Kosovo Constitution. And practically that is what the Constitutional Court Act published on December 23rd of 2015, Kurti said.
Otherwise, Kurti and Vuciqi have met in Brussels on Tuesday and are expected to meet again on July 25th this year./Periscopi/
