US Western Balkan Affairs Secretary Alon Ben-Meir estimates that Serbia must withdraw from the campaign of recognition of Kosovo's independence if it wants integration into the European Union.

Serbia's “until Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, declares that “I believe in the possibility of resolving compromise in dialogue with Kosovo”, at the same time continues the campaign to convince other countries to recognise Kosovo's independence”.
“The EU and the US should make it clear that he cannot go to both sides, but must decide that if Serbia wants to integrate into the EU, Kosovo's non-recognition campaign should be halted”.
According to him, normalising Serbia's relations with Kosovo is essential for Belgrade's EU integration.
