Officials said Alex Harvey died after a exercise accident Thursday morning. He was planning to perform the 107m jump, writes BBC.
The incident's video shows how his motorcycle does not touch the planned target on the ground, crashing onto a beach. A local newspaper said the motorcyclist crashed into motorcycle gloves and played helmets during the dance.
Event organisers initially said Harvey has been sent with injuries to the hospital, but a local police spokesman confirmed that he is dead.
His wife, who was present at the scene with her two sons, said that the man had prepared two weeks for this acrobat, but had never danced as long as in Thursday's effort.
Harvey was a professional motorcyclist who had previously scored a record twice for motorcycle dancing.
