Many sites were offline on Tuesday, with the announcement explaining that they were “confiscated” from the US.
Among them was Press TV, which is owned by Iran's state and al-Mashrih TV, led by rebels Youthi, reports the BBC, translates Periscopi.
This comes after increased tensions between the United States and Iran over the revival of the nuclear agreement.
The U.S. Justice Department said it confiscated 33 websites.
Although current US President Joe Biden is demanding that America rejoin the agreement, both sides have said that the other side should adapt to conditions.
All Iran news stations are guided by the government, as there is no television or private radio station. /Periscope
