Kai Sauer, the deputy secretary of Finland's Foreign Policy and Security, has said that there must be compromises in the negotiations on both sides if a result is to be achieved.
Former former chief adviser to former President Martti Ahtisaari in Info Magazine has hinted that Kosovo can again compromise during negotiations with the Serbian delegation.
When you enter the negotiations it means you have to compromise, otherwise it's not negotiations. When two sides entered the negotiations, they must agree on something and that requires compromise. In negotiations if both sides want to get good results, they must compromise”.
In what may be Kosovo's new compromise or even what Kosovo might be wanted in this regard, Sauer has declared it is early to talk about a hypothetical compromise.
There's only one round of talks in Brussels, so it's a little early to talk about any hypothetical compromise, it can't do that. This, in fact, is the job of the EU Special Representative's parties to offer more details or comments concerning the subject of negotiations”.
While for some swimmers who have circulated for the Western Balkans, he has said such topics do not carry much weight.
I've heard of these knockouts, I haven't seen these and I haven't really seen letters sent by official people. But I don't think such themes weigh too much”, Sauer said.
