60 Kosovo schools are done with the Kreative Centre students create technological solutions to social problems

Thanks to the “creative centres in Kosovo schools” implemented by the PC and funded by the Ministry of Economy, 60 high schools in Kosovo have been made with creative centres. Through the tools provided by the project, these schools have operated ICT labs.
In addition to equipment, students and professors gained knowledge of the ICT field. PBC through its unit PBC Academy trained participants for these modules: new trends in ICT; entrepreneurship and innovation; object-oriented programming; LittleBits; Arduino? Rasberry Pl; design and printing, as well as ethics at work.
The manager of this project, Adriatic Ollon, said they are happy that the project has benefited over 900 students and 120 TIC educators from all parts of Kosovo. He added that:
Besides supply by means, the project idea has been to enable more students and educators in this area. Therefore, we have successfully carried out this mission because 900 students and 120 educators have been trained during this project. Although we face difficulties because of the pandemic, we have succeeded in completing it”, Ollon said.
Over a year's work on this project was crowned with the competition held between schools for better and creative ideas, which find the solution to social problems in technology. Before a professional commission, 60 schools competed with their projects, 6 of which reached the finals.
The dating of the mask; the digitizing of the school bell; the green city; the monitoring of air and temperature at home; the digital management of dog food; and the entrances and exits through facial detection; the social problems of which these students have found through technology, based on the knowledge they have received from the training of this project.
Chairman of the evaluation commission, prof. Dr. Blerim Rexha said the students have addressed topics that distract the whole society.
It was a pleasure to see and see these students' achievements. These projects are the result of the excellent co-operation of trainers from PBC and professional school educators and students”, Rexha said.
The three winning teams, which will be selected very soon, will be rewarded with cash, and projects will have the chance to change to start up.
