Rain clouds hampered the authorities ' efforts to find more bodies under the ruins of the building, which once had 12 floors of 156 residential units. This could be the biggest disaster in U.S. history in terms of the unintentional collapse of a structure.
Still no survivors have been removed from the ruins of the building located in the town of Surfside, near Miami, Reuters writes.
Experts from Israel and Mexico who are using cranes, trained dogs, and infrared scanners are also taking part in the effort to find any signs of life under the rubble, although hope is fading over time.
The cause of the building's collapse is still being investigated, but authorities are focusing on some remarks in the facility, which were identified in a report by engineers in 2008.
