Who is Xhemat Ahmedia in Kosovo?

The Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK) has raised concerns that in Kosovo two to three types of unauthorised copies of the Koran are being hidden in two to three types of holy book of Islamic religion. According to BIK, this is being done by people belonging to the Ahmed sect, for whom BIK [...]
By Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia in Kosovo, they deny they are distributing unauthorized books, adding that they distribute literature reflecting the true and peaceful teachings of Islam. This jealousy in Kosovo also operates through the charity organisation Humanity First.
Institute for Research and Islamic Studies Director Sabri Bajgora, member of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, told Radio Free Europe that citizens should be careful what Koran is reading.
According to him, only Muslim religious books, which have the emblem, logo, or BIK stamp, are the appropriate “books”, while the translation of the Koran and other books, according to BIK, are diverted from the concept.
Who is Cemate Muslims Ahmedia?
As they say on their website, Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia is <x0nd dynamic world co-ordination, with extraordinary growth within Islam”, which preaches the true “teachings of Islam and the message of peace”. It was founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmed from India in 1889. It also says that the “atheridians believe that he is the long - awaited Messiah and Imam Mehdiu, who the prophet Muhammad” himself predicted. The current leader is Mirza Masur Ahmed, from Pakistan, the fifth callifoam of this gamma. The current Cemat center is in England, where Mirza Masur Ahmed lives. This organization claims to number 10 million people in 210 countries in the world. It's said to be self-financed, without political intentions.
Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia in the world also acts through the charity organization Humanity First, which already operates in Kosovo.
Institute for Investigations and Islamic Studies Director Sabri Bajgora says that the “does not represent either the Islamic Community, nor Muslims in general”.
“are a sect originating from India and distributed in several European countries. But, they may have thought of finding a tacit site here in Kosovo. I request from Kosovo's security bodies to have attention to these groups and sects”, Bajgora said.
“They deny that the prophet Muhammad is the last prophet, as we believe Muslims and, on this occasion, they give themselves the right, saying that Ahmed, or founder of this sect, is the last prophet and the prophet who will make the world happy with his advice”, Bajgora said.
Baygora said that the purpose of this sect, with its translation of books, is to surprise people and create conspiracies, such as those that the Koran contains symbols and warns different things.
There are many differences, denial of the Koran, God's last word we believe in. Muhammad's denial as God's envoy means that they give figures, they give years of supposedly when the Hour or Day of Judgment might occur, putting fear in people's minds”, Baygora stressed.
He added that the distribution of their literature could create divisions among the population and even introduce ideas that do not coincide with what the Islamic Community of Kosovo officially intends.
Kosovo did not stop publishing religious books
Bajgora claims BIK has asked the National Security Council to take control of any religious book published in Kosovo, which, he said, has not been found in agreement with the argument that something like that would be a violation of human rights or readers.
We think the most necessary would be to protect and preserve the population from different ideas and propaganda that are anti-religious because in no way do we want Syria of 2012-2014, where a real chaos and the going of our young people into those meaningless <x1) wars, Baygora said.
The facility where Cemati Muslimsman Ahmedia operates is located in one of Pristina's neighbourhoods, near the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.
“For this object is also aware of Kosovo Police”, Bajgora said.
Ahmedia Cemate: Preaching the Fulfilling of Obligations to Allah
From Cemat Ahmedia they have refused to interview for Radio Free Europe, but have responded in writing, via email.
According to them, Ahmadiya Muslim Jama '%at (AMJ) is a nongovernmental organisation, registered in the Republic of Kosovo, which has a statute adopted by the state of Kosovo and acts in accordance with it, adding that they are not a divisive group or sect.
“Kosovo's MJ is fully engaged in spreading the peaceful message of Islam with its famous motto love for all, hatred for no one,”, said the REL's written response.
They claim that they do not distribute either the Koran or any literature in secret, and that any other claim, whether by BIK or anyone else, is slander and lie”. According to them, they deliver literature that reflects the true and peaceful teachings of Islam.
From Ahmadiya Muslim Jamaʹat, they add that they strongly promote that jihad with weapons is no longer allowed and that Muslims should no longer wage religious warfare through arms against any group, religion, or state in the world.
This is clearly expressed in the literature of Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia, already published in Albanian, even in the Albanian translation of the Koran by Germany's Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia”, it is said in response.
“The AMJ firmly believes in five pillars of Islam and six pillars of confidence. Our divine book is also the holy Koran, and our beloved prophet is Hazret Muhamed a. The Koran, published by Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia by a bi (Arabic) is identical to any other edition of the Koran in the world. The translation of the Koran into Albanian changes according to the level and style of translators. Change in basic concepts (five pillars of Islam and six pillars of faith) does not at all. Cemate Mysliman Ahmedia strongly believes that to gain the favor of the Creator, we must help creatures indiscriminately, as mentioned at the beginning of the holy Koran, the glory belongs to God, Lord of all worlds”, as stated in response.
Cemati Mysliman Ahmedia has acknowledged that they have humanitarian organisations called Humanity First, which, they say, is in line with its adopted statute, and tries to help people in need throughout Kosovo.
“both by name and by activity, aims to give priority to humanity over everything else. Kosovo's MJ interacts with Germany's Humanity First and has successfully implemented a series of projects with the state and municipal bodies of the Republic of Kosovo, but with other non-governmental institutions”, it is said in response.
Their Facebook profile shows that in recent months they have made a number of donations to Kosovo municipalities, meeting with mayors, such as Shpend Ahmeti from Pristina, staying Kastrati from Kamenica, whose municipalities, this organisation has donated electronic equipment and polluting tunnels against Pristina. COVID-19 has helped schools with computers. Also, representatives of the organisation have met with former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga and other personalities.
A few meters from Cemat Ahmedia's main headquarters is the mosque “Benderi Camberi”.
The mosque's imam “Bendri Kamberi”, at the Pristina Hospital Labinot Maliqi Labinot, told Radio Europe free sect of Ahmedia to come to this section of the capital, has begun to extend its religious and humanitarian activity to the <x2ndof the Islamic Religion” and the facility where members of the sect stand, they call it a mosque.
They constantly try to seduce neighborhood dwellers with economic aid, and needy students also, in order to draw them close to their sect. What the Ahmedia sect promotes conflicts with traditional Islam that we've had for centuries on our lands. The Qur'an translated into Albanian that this sect distributes is full of obstacles to the site, and these are introducing dilemmas and doubts, as well as causing confusion and division among our people”, Maliqi said.
Free Europe Radio has requested an answer by Kosovo Police, regarding the work and activity of this sect in Kosovo, but so far, police have given no answer.
At BIK, they say no one is about accepting any religious beliefs, and according to them, everyone has the right to believe in what he wants, but Kosovo should be kept away from extremist and divisive ideas.
For this under heaven, [this sect] is dangerous because with this tolerance, which has been interreligious in Kosovo, which has been cultivated for centuries”, Sabri Baygora by BIK said.
On the other hand, sociologist Shemsi Krasniqi, professor at the University of Pristina, says all publications that are out of control of a certain institution can pose problems for certain societies or groups.
“If [books] are in opposition or out of control, they should deal with suspicion or scepticism, because there may be intruding of ideological content that could be radically extreme and divisive within the community. They can be dangerous for the formation of the new generation, even the citizens' faithful of”, Krasniqi said.
The report on international religious freedoms for 2020 of the US State Department says that “of all their faiths and communities in Kosovo, including the Islamic Community of Kosovo, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church, the Jewish Community, and the Evangelical Church (five conventional communities of Kosovo), will offer any kind of protection and opportunity to enjoy the rights and freedoms envisioned by this law. [The Law on Religious Freedom in Kosovo]”
The constitution provides for rights and protection for all citizens, including maintenance, development and preservation of their religion using their language.
Kosovo's constitution also says religious communities have the right to establish religious schools and charity institutions with the possibility of financing with the government's financial assistance “in line with international law and standards”.
