“Vones in visa liberalisation are imposing Kosovo orientation from east”

For analyst Besnik Vasoli Kosovo has met the conditions for visa liberalisation, but it already has to convince only skeptical states like France. Speaking to Euronews Albania, Vasol said that “Kosovo feels justly isolated”, while stressing that it looks like it “is being imposed on the birth despite that it meets the additional conditions set”.
“Kosovars feel justly isolated, my son is 20 years old and compared to his Albanian, Serbian or Bosnian friends who also have 20-year-olds differ because they had the opportunity for a decade to visit Europe, visit all major states, museums... everything, while my son would have to apply for visas and that would take months and add time to costs [...],” analyst Vasloi said.
“Kosovars are being imposed in a way that is birth and not Europe, or are not loving us in Europe, or I don't know... because they are not clarifying why they are not liberalising visas,” Vasoli added, reminding the fact that for Kosovo citizens there are no similar obstacles to travel to Turkey.
Analyst Vasol said no other state has had criteria similar to Kosovo in terms of visa liberalisation, but Kosovo has long met them.
Currently, Kosovo remains pending visa liberalisation. The European Union set additional conditions demanding, along with guarantees of borders and passports, results in fighting corruption and organised crime. But Vasol says that even at this point there has been progress, despite the courts demanding their time to issue decisions.
“Some member states such as France, Denmark, Holland, but and Germany until a time were skeptical as they expected more from Kosovo to fight corruption, but from Mr. Maas' visit [Heiko Maas, Germany's Foreign Minister] we have noticed that Germany has changed the discours and are for visa removal,” ♫ Vasoli said, who thought France is the most skeptical state to obey.
