At least 35 people have been killed in Gaza and five in Israel in more intensive exchanges for years, Reuters writes, Pryscopi traces.
In Gaza, a multistory residential building, whose inhabitants were warned in advance by Israel to evacuate, collapsed, and another was severely damaged after repeated blows by Israeli air strikes.
Israel said their fighter planes were targeting and killing several Hamas intelligence leaders on Wednesday morning. Other attacks were carried out at locations the military said were missile launch points, Hamas' offices and the homes of Hamas leaders.

It was the worst offensive between Israel and Hamas since the 2014 war, which sparked international concern that the situation could come out of control.
“Israel has gone mad”, said a man on a Gaza street, where people came out of their homes until the blasts shook the city.
Many Israelis also spent a sleepless night, with sirens dropping at 3am in the morning at Tel Aviv, warning of several waves of rocket strikes on Israel's heart.

The violence followed several weeks of tension in Jerusalem during the month of Ramadan fasting, with clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters, in and around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The situation deteriorated in recent days before a [now postponed] court hearing in a case that could end with Palestinian families expelled from Jerusalem's homes.
Violence has also flared up in the West Coast. While medical sources show that a 16-year-old Palestinian was killed in clashes with Israeli forces Wednesday.
“ASPECTION OF THE ENGLIST”
Violence doesn't seem to end. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that militants would pay a super heavy “price for the missiles.
On Tuesday, Gaza Health Ministry officials showed the death toll at 32, but a radio linked to Hamas later said three more people were killed early Wednesday. The Israeli army said it killed at least 25 militants.
Israeli health authorities say five people have been killed since Monday, from missiles that destroyed houses or exploded on the street.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said Qatar, Egypt and the United Nations had been in touch looking for calm, but his group's message to Israel was: “If they want to scale, resistance is ready, if they want to stop, resistance is ready by”.

The White House said on Tuesday that Israel had a legitimate right to defend itself against missile attacks but pressured Israel to treat Palestinians, saying Jerusalem should be a place of coexistence.
Although recent problems in Jerusalem were the main cause of fighting, where Palestinians are increasingly disappointed as their aspirations for an independent state have suffered a series of obstacles in recent years.
These include Washington's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, a US plan to end the conflict they viewed as favourable for Israel and the continued construction of settlements.
Israel shows that in addition to air operations, they had sent infantry and armoured forces to reinforce tanks, currently collected at the border.

Gaza's Health Ministry reports that of people reporting dead, 10 were children. The Israeli Army says they are watching reports of children killed and that preventing civilian victims is their priority.
