A flood of reactions to senior diplomat Donika Grovalla over her statements to the KLA prompted the country's Prime Minister Albin Kurti to react as well. The latter stood up for her, saying that what he calls “foussites” comes after meetings he describes as successful in Brussels.
Not so careful, however, was Gervailla in an interview in 2014, where she was expressed in an extremely harsh discurs against Kurti.
At that world, Gervala said Kurti reminded her of a non-glorious time for Albanians, the period of communism.
He even said that changes should take place in VV and that Kurt should leave the VV's head, as there is an ideology that he claims is out of time.
“VVV, as its name is, Movement is made up of different currents. When I talk about him and ideology, I'm primarily talking about VV leader, Mr. Albin Kurti. VV as shown in the case of Shpend Ahmeti needs new names, new moves. Kurt's young but he's an old ideologist. The idealology he represents is out of time. The idealology of a mind that I see very clearly in what he's talking about and in the form that he's discussing different themes”, Gervala said.
I grew up in Albania and am organically sensitive when I see in the behavior and language of an element that we have been taught at school in Albania by an ideology that has cost many Albanians. I connect with the time of the communist regime, and his language reminds me of the time of the communist regime, the language he uses”, Gervala said in this 2014 interview.
