News agency, T The ASS, quoting the Ministry of Defence in Azerbaijan, said six Armenian soldiers were captured while trying to cross the border between the two states.

Otherwise, a few days ago, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of opening fire to Armenian positions across the border, but that charge was denied by Azerbaijan.

Armenia's Defence Ministry has said that an Armenian soldier has been killed during the shootings by azer forces on the eastern border with Azerbaijan, Reuters writes.

This minister said he is in contact with Russian forces on the issue. Russia had helped achieve the ceasefire after fighting that left more than 4,000 people dead last year. Russian forces are on the conflict line to oversee the truce.

Armenia has faced political crisis and massive protests following the signing of the ceasefire, which by many Armenians has been described as accepting defeat, as, according to the agreement, Azerbaijan would control territories won during the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh and its surrounding areas.
