The new board of Kosovo Telecom Directors has announced at the latest meeting, the competition for two top positions in the country's largest company. It's about the position of Chief Executive and the position of Chief of Finance and Treasury.

The new “Bord from the first day that has been appointed by the Government has worked intensively to make a comprehensive and accurate scan of the actual situation in Kosovo Telecom and has come to the conclusion that the situation is too heavily in financial and operational terms”, said an official source within the Ministry of Economy and Energy, which has underazemed the Board of Directors and all public companies in the country, including Kosovo Telecom.
The government weeks earlier had named the new members of Kosovo's Board of Directors of Telecom with leaders Saving Dobre, as well as with members Sinije Thaqi, Mimoza Vila, Florina Jerliu, Agim Muqaj, Remzi Kelmendi.
“Bord has worked extremely hard these days, even several hours on end with long meetings, analyzing all the emergency problems this company is facing, and among the first decisions is the announcement of the competition for the two highest positions in Telekom”, the same source said, suggesting that the competition for these two positions has all those with professional experience needed to lead the company in line with the principles known for corporate corporate corporate corporate corporate corporate corporate governance and continued development.
For his part, the chairman of the Professional Union of Kosovo Telecom has said he has not yet received any confirmation of the decisions of the new Board, but has acknowledged that this Bord has already approached Telekom with the appropriate seriousness.
I welcomed every board decision, including the decision to announce the competition for Chief Ecekkutive and any other positive and strategic decision that is in the best interests of the company and its employees”, stated Muhamet Xhemajli, chairman of the Professional Union.
According to him, the government's silence over the situation in Telekom is disturbing, despite calls of public protests for the difficult situation in Telekom, which risks not only the deterioration of the family economy of thousands of employees in Telekom, but also jeopardises technical operations in the company.
