The first secretary at the Swiss Embassy in Tehran was found dead Tuesday and allegedly fell from a high building where she lived north of town.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry (FDFA) said an employee at its embassy in Iran had died from an accident, without identifying the victim.
“FDFA and its federal adviser Ignazio Cassis are shocked by the tragic death and express their deepest condolences to the family,” she said.
Iranian Emergency Services spokesman Mojtaba Khaledi said the diplomat's body was found by a gardener after an employee who arrived at her residence early Tuesday noticed that she was missing, news agency Faris '%s' reads.
