According to The Mirror, ruthless robbers also linked her husband Charalambos Anagnostopoulos and threatened him by holding a gun to their daughter Lydia's head.
Local media have reported that a man from Georgia has been arrested at the border with Bulgaria.
The suspect tried to travel from Greece to Bulgaria by car using a false passport.
He hasn't yet been informed of his identity about another burglary in a house near where Caroline was killed.
A police source said DNA analysis suggested he was involved in stealing an elderly couple on March 7th.
