Now seven months, former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army are being tried at The Hague.
Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi, Jakup Krasniqi and Sali Mustafa are facing charges filed for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office.
These charges are being based on witnesses but also on various materials.
The evidence includes written books as well as their interviews on local television.
Kosovo's prime minister has also given an interview with the past. Albin Kurti from Brussels has called for the elimination of war criminals from the political scene.
Another statement, but now on a special name for the former head of the assembly, Kadri Wessel has given the former deputy prime minister of Kosovo. Hakki Abazi has named Kadri Veselin a criminal, while he holds this based on his past and various reports.
“E said Kfort's report that Kadri Vesley is a criminal, and that he was a Shik man. ”, declared Abazi.
But can these statements be used by the Special Prosecutor's Office? The lawyer, Taulant Hodaj, has said that since we've seen the prosecution exploit public statements.
In order to prevent the judicial process at The Hague, state officials are required to be careful with their public statements.
