Kadri Wessel, is the first of the detainees in The Hague's Specialised Chambers to physically meet someone from his family since November last year when the Special arrested him and other KLA leaders following charges of crimes against humanity.
At the beginning of May Wessel was allowed in extraordinary circumstances to travel towards Kosovo to visit his father lying at the neurology clinic, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
Specialised Chambers in The Hague have already published the detailed report on how the visit was allowed. Mr. Wessel's request was reportedly made on Wednesday, April 28th, until the preliminary procedure judge approved the same after two days on April 30th.
The visit began on May 2nd and lasted only four days, according to the judge's command, unlike Wessel's request that it last seven days. After meeting Father, Kadri Wessel made yet another, again extraordinary, request this time to see his mother.
On May 3, 2021, Mr. Wessel applied to modify the terms imposed on the decision so that he could visit his mother, who has been laid down because of her serious health. The judge of the preliminary procedure enabled this visit on May 4, 2021”, says at one of the report's points.
Shown by Former Head The PDK was able to meet other close family members with rigorous checks of their identity. All of this was done according to the rules prescribed by the DHSK.
On May 5, 2021, Mr. Wessel was transferred back to the detention centre of Specialised Chambers in The Hague, Holland. He respected all orders from the chief guard and other security members. Co-operation with foreign partners has been extremely efficient and enabled a successful” operation.
As reported in this report, Kadri Veselin over four days of stay in Kosovo remained at a secure maintenance centre. This must be EULEX's base from its escort, seen coming before each visit.
