Spain has not changed position, does not recognise Kosovo

This topic was discussed after talking with Serbian counterpart Nikola Sakalovic in Madrid.

“Spain adheres to the principle of not recognising Kosovo. We have defended that position so far, we are doing it today and will continue in the future”, the minister said at a joint press conference, answering Tanjug's question if the Spanish hold their position about not recognising Kosovo's independence.

Gonzalez noted that the Kosovo issue should be resolved in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

“We need to further support that dialogue as a way for a peaceful solution to the Kosovo issue”, the Spanish minister said.
